About the License Plate The Family Values specialty license plate was authorized by the Florida Legislature in 2004 and became available in 2005. Funds collected through the sale of these specialty plates are distributed to Sheridan House, Inc. Sheridan House, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) organization. Since 1968, we have been offering services that promote the stability of the family unit. Through residential care programs, a family counseling center, social services for single parents and their children, resource materials (including books on marriage and parenting and parenting curriculum) along with seminars, Sheridan House provides direction in the areas of sound parenting skills and strong family relations.

How Do I Get One? If you would like to order your Family Values plate online AND YOU ARE WITHIN 3 MONTHS OF YOUR RENEWAL DATE, gather up your license plate information and go to www.polktaxes.com and order your tag today!

The "Family Values" specialty license plate is available through your local Tax Collector’s Office or County Tag Agency. You may select from the links below for contact and address information on all offices in your area.

When you renew your registration at your local tax collector's office, simply let them know you wish to replace your current tag with a specialty license plate. If it is not time in your tag's cycle to replace the metal plate, you will pay a $19 plate switching fee. The FAMILY VALUES Specialty tag costs $25 above the standard Florida tag plus a $2 processing fee. The $25 is a tax deductible donation. Make the switch today! It will not cost any more if you switch during the year or wait until the renewal date.
