Everyday Heroes
Did you know that two out of every three children who come to Sheridan House
are from single parent homes? Or that 44% of those children have experienced
some form of abuse, and/or witnessed domestic violence? Thankfully, there are
everyday heroes willing to stand between our children and their frightening
enemy – heroes like John and Terri Diaz.
John and Terri are raising five young children of their own; yet, they’ve opened
their hearts and hands to the children of Sheridan House, too. Their monthly
donation to our childrens’ homes is just the beginning; as the Service Director
at Pines Pontiac, John also helps our single mothers with much-needed auto repairs.
Why?
"I see the difference one ministry can make in our community," John explains.
"Terri and I want to be a part of that. We feel we can help make this a better
community by helping Sheridan House help our neighbors."
Thanks to the personal sacrifice of heroic monthly donors like the Diaz family,
Sheridan House is making a real difference.
