Another Great Story…
Robert and his wife, Stacy, were extremely concerned about their daughter, Amanda. Her anxious behavior and temper-driven outbursts were having an effect on their family life. She had reached the point where she no longer cared about the consequences of her actions. When they would try to discuss things with her or discipline her, she would just shut down emotionally or explode with rage. There was no in-between for her. What scared them the most about their daughter was that she was only 8 years old. What would the future hold for her or for the family when she hits her teens?
Robert and Stacy had discussed their situation with several people, but the suggestions they received were often contradictory to the values they wanted to impart on their family as taught in the Bible. Robert was going over their situation on his morning drive to work. As traffic on I-95 slowed to a crawl, he saw the words “Family Values” on the license plate of the car in front of him. It made him curious enough that when he got to work he decided to search for more information on the license plate. He was eventually led to SHFM.ORG.
As he looked around the website he realized that he had found a place that seemed to help families in similar situations. A place that really strives to help parents and children while honoring Christ. A place that offered counseling based on Godly principles to people of all ages. He knew that this was a place that could offer his family guidance as they dealt with their current struggles. And he found all of this thanks to that license plate he saw on the way to work one day.
