“Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.” Philippians 2:4

That is precisely what happened at Sheridan House on Saturday, August 6, 2011.  With the help of amazing volunteers, generous companies, wonderful churches, and caring individuals, Sheridan House served over 1,000 people at our annual Back-to-School event.

In addition to receiving quality backpacks filled with the necessary supplies for a great start to a new year, the children enjoyed a fabulous time as they were entertained by the wonderful folks at Crossway Church, had their adorable faces painted by gifted artists, and received cool haircuts from stylists who donated their time and talent on their busiest day of the week to serve with us!  Clowns and friends doled out balloons, lollipops, snow cones, and various treats including delicious bagels compliments of Offerdahl’s Café & Grill and fresh fruit from Sam’s Produce.

We are deeply grateful for our “Fill-the-Pack” friends and many more who gave sacrificially.  Because of your generosity, underprivileged children will go to school this year ready for success!
